Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome

First Food is dedicated to supporting families, parents and babies. Our work has been developed with our mission in mind to support vulnerable babies experiencing Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome also known as NAS, Neonatal Opioid Withdrawal Syndrome (NOWS).

In 2021, 5,168 Pennsylvanians died from overdoses. An average of 14 Pennsylvanians die every day from overdose, and based on available data the death toll will only continue to rise.*
