Join our presenters Dr. Meg Kawan MD, MPH, IBCLC, NABBLM-C who presented on Low Milk Supply and Tiffany Carper MS, RD, LDN, CLC who presented on WIC Breastfeeding Services: Partnering Together.
This Virtual Fall 2025 Collaborative Meeting discusses:
- First Food and Keystone 10 Updates
- Develop a framework for evaluating low milk production, discuss strategies for managing low milk production, and learn to communicate the process of milk production in families
WIC overview, how WIC promotes, supports, and protects breastfeeding, the impact infant formula on breastfeeding success, and how WIC healthcare providers can partner to better support breastfeeding.

Who is Dr. Meg Kawan:
Dr. Meg Kawan is a general pediatrician at Karabots Pediatric Care Center, West Philadelphia, a CHOP Care Network Primary care practice. In Addition to practicing primary care, she has been certified as an international board-certified lactation consultant since 2008. Dr. Kawan is involved in medical and resident education and serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Clinical Track, at the Perelman School of Medicine of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
Dr. Kawan graduated from the Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey PA and completed her pediatric training from Children's National Medical Center in Washington DC. Additionally, she completed her master's in public health at the University of North Carolina. Dr. Kawan is a passionate advocate for all families to receive high quality, evidence-based breastfeeding support so that they may reach their breastfeeding goals.
Tiffany Carper MS, RD, LDN, CLC presented on WIC Breastfeeding Services: Partnering Together
Who is Tiffany Carper:
Tiffany Carper is a registered dietitian and certified lactation counselor with over 15 years of combined experience in clinical and public health nutrition. Throughout her career, she has guided individuals, families, and communities toward healthier outcomes through evidence-based practice, compassionate care, and a commitment to early life nutrition. Driven by a person's mission to positively influence health outcomes at scale, Tiffany focuses on equipping both current and future professionals with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to succeed. She has led multidisciplinary teams, contributed to innovated public health initiatives, and mentored emerging professionals who now carry forward her passion for improving nutritional well-being.
